Welcome to Halo Bule
This pandemic crushed Bali’s economy in such a way that millions of lives were disrupted on and off the island. Nobody here could even imagine something like this happening.
Despite the island having been on complete lockdown since mid-March. No tourist visas. No surfing. Nobody spending money. It went from 300 + planes arriving every day, with surfers and visitors swarming beaches and warungs across the island to a near ghost town. It’s been a rough few months, and there’s still a long road ahead for the locals who depend on tourism to survive.
For those of you still on the island or who have made your way here somehow, I will continue to write as much useful content for my readers.
