A note to reader
This pandemic crushed Bali’s economy in such a way that millions of lives were disrupted on and off the island. Nobody here could even imagine something like this happening.
The island has been on complete lockdown since mid-March. No tourist visas. No surfing. Nobody spending money. It went from 300 + planes arriving every day, with surfers and visitors swarming beaches and warungs across the island to a near ghost town. It’s been a rough start to 2020, and there’s still a long road ahead for the locals who depend on tourism to survive. For those of you still on the island or who have somehow made your way here, I will do my duty as a travel blogger to continue writing as much useful content for you.
